Pottstown’s Senior Night drew in a great crowd and the Trojans did not disappoint as they beat Pope John Paul for the 2nd time this season 3-1. After a great Senior Ceremony, Pope John Paul drew 1st blood by scoring a hard shot ball just barely away from Goalkeeper Alejandro Perez’s hands at the 6:13 minute mark. Richy Masciarelli would then take the ball from his midfield and dribble through the whole PJP defense to blast a hard struck ball in the back of the net at the 20:52 minute mark to go into a 1-1 tie at halftime. The Trojans came out even harder the 2nd half and with a little less than 25 minutes in the game Sophomore Tyler Keefer serves up a beautiful ball to Kyle Lafferty and he shoots from a very difficult angle to score his first career goal making the score 2-1. 17 minutes later 2 more Seniors connect as Sebastian Shiffler plays a great ball to Miguel Ross who finally breaks free to chip the ball just over the keeper to make the final score 3-1. Alejandro Perez recorded 15 saves in goal.

Trojan Firsts: This is the first time that the Trojans have beaten Pope John Paul twice in one season.
